Manhattan landmark The Roosevelt Hotel has upgraded to Pegasus Solutions’ RezView NG, the flagship product of the industry’s first suite of next generation reservations solutions.

The Roosevelt New York is also a member of Pegasus’ Utell® Hotels & Resorts hotel representation service.

In the midst of a multimillion dollar makeover to upgrade the property’s 1015 rooms, The Roosevelt has also upgraded its central reservation system (CRS) to maximize revenue at the time of booking. RezView NG allows hotels like The Roosevelt to apply revenue management rules to every component of the booking, not just the room. It will also allow the hotel to manage all room and non-room inventory, availability status, restrictions, pricing and policies per property preference.

“The market in which The Roosevelt Hotel New York operates is both highly competitive and very dynamic. The hotel is constantly re-evaluating its efforts, systems and practices so as to maintain its edge and improve its market agility,” said Ted Rusch, director of revenue management for The Roosevelt. “The decision to partner with Pegasus as a member of Utell Hotels and Resorts two years ago has paid exponential dividends. RezViewNG further validates this decision, while increasing the hotel’s market share growth.”

The Roosevelt – consistently one of the top performing Utell hotels – is often referred to as the Grand Dame of Madison Avenue. It is a mid-town landmark situated near Grand Central Station and is popularized as the hotel of choice by Don Draper of “Mad Men.”

“The team at The Roosevelt is acutely aware of the things they can do to improve their fair share of New York luxury hotel demand,” said Mike Kistner, chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. “We came to the table two years ago to help address the need for driving global demand through Utell. The success of that relationship led to this most recent upgrade of their central reservations system to manage today’s crowded shopping environment.”
