Bartech, a world leader in automatic profit-generating minibar solutions for the hospitality industry, announced that it will demonstrate its comprehensive line of new design and technology innovations at the IHG Americas Investor Conference 2011. The conference will take place October 24-25 at The Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

Bartech is the preferred supplier of minibars to IHG’s premier brand, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. Since completing the first installation of automatic minibars in an IHG property at the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin in Austin, Texas in 2000, Bartech’s innovative minibar solutions have been chosen by an additional 12 InterContinental properties in North America, including all 3,011 rooms at The Venetian | The Palazzo — the group’s first InterContinental Alliance Resort™, where the 2011 conference is being held. To date, Bartech minibars have been installed in nearly half of the 29 InterContinental-branded properties in North America, representing a total of 7,362 guestrooms.

In addition to an extensive selection of customizable automatic minibars that are designed to maximize revenue and save hoteliers time and money through increased efficiency, Bartech will also be displaying several of its latest proprietary designs at the 2011 IHG conference. These include the eCube and the eDrawer. A fully functional prototype of the groundbreaking new Flat Fridge will also be on display during expo hours.

One of the only minibar providers to offer fully customizable design, Bartech also offers a choice of five methods of server communication, allowing each hotel to create the most cost-effective and efficient technology solution possible. For properties with an existing ZigBee network, Bartech can provide seamless integration with its embedded controls for maximum system integration and minimal installation costs. Other options include Wi-Fi, Coax cable, twisted pair and Ethernet communication. Bartech is also the only minibar provider to utilize three different types of sensor technologies, including infrared, magnetic and micro-switch, which allows Bartech minibars to use the most effective and reliable technology for each type of product dispensed.

“Over the past decade, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has come to increasingly rely on the unique, profit-generating minibar technologies that Bartech provides through our tech-forward solutions,” said Bartech president Mario Agrario. “We are excited to be showcasing our newest innovations to their entire portfolio at the 2011 IHG Conference in our home town of Las Vegas.”
