FCS Launches Free Hotel Search Mobile App “i-Guest Hotels Finder”

FCS Computer Systems, a leading global provider of comprehensive hospitality technology solutions, announces the launch of FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder, a unique smartphone application that lets users search for hotels and play the directions to the hotel and the nearest airport in the local language, for the benefit of taxi drivers and other native speakers.

This application is now available for iPhones and iPads in the Apple Store, and also exclusively for Samsung devices, as part of the Samsung Galaxy Note World Tour launch for the next three months.

The creation of FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder was FCS’ way of rewarding their loyal global customers by making international travel to participating hotels and resorts hassle-free. In addition, FCS is expanding their innovative hotel guest support solution to a mobile app in order to enhance the guest experience and hotel productivity. All such mobile apps can link to the FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder for seamless guest access.

What makes FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder unique is that it is the only app in the world that lets travelers search for hotels by brand, region, country or city across the world. By simply tapping either the “Directions to Hotel” or the “Directions to Airport” button on a hotel’s profile page, an audio recording in the local language is played, simplifying the often-frustrating interactions between a foreign-speaking traveler and the taxi driver or other native-speaking resident. The app—which requires no login or password to use—also features integration with Google Maps, showing the local map in multiple languages for easy access to the hotel.  Hoteliers can also subscribe to advertising services from FCS to display their banner advertisements in the front or within the app, such as the City of Dreams’ sample shown. The hotel’s company website will be automatically launched when the banner is selected to ensure that the banner drives traffic to the designated offering page of the hotel or resort. Based on statistical usage of smart devices and mobile applications for traveling, there is a forecast of over 1,000,000 users within six months of launch. 

Prior to arrival, the app can also act as a hotel-branded platform for the hotel and guest to interact with each other. If a hotel or resort has purchased the FCS i-Guest hotel application from FCS for its specific hotel, then travelers can launch FCS i-Guest directly from FCS i-Guest Hotels Finder.  Inside the i-Guest hotel application, potential guests or guests can view hotel information, promotions, and make a variety of service requests—room service ordering, housekeeping inquiries, dinner reservations and more.
