Independent Research Firm Places Adaco Among Fastest-Growing Specialized Vertical ePurchasing Vendors

Adaco, an industry leader in hospitality procurement, management and optimization, is the only ePurchasing vendor cited from the hospitality industry cited in a recent Forrester Research, Inc. report, “Market Overview: ePurchasing and Contract Life-Cycle Management In 2011 To 2012.”

Furthermore, Adaco is well positioned to see continued, sustainable growth in the future as more hospitality operations seek to gain greater control of their inventory and purchasing practices, according to the company’s president.

Forrester pinpoints four forces affecting the ePurchasing landscape: cloud, vertical focus, “smart computing” and increased value of networks driven by the exchange of work objects like POs and invoices.

“Our trajectory mirrors some of these very forces,” Ippagunta said. “We offer subscription-based, cloud-only offerings and continue to maintain traditional license arrangements for those who prefer it. We have introduced smart pad apps and revealed the value of embedding online customizable vendor catalogs to maintain quality and ensure multiple sources of product.”

The Forrester Research report places Adaco—with more than half of the major hotel chains as clients—among some of the fastest growing ePurchasing vendors. It also identifies the company as belonging to a group that has “carved out a sustainable position by concentrating on a narrow set of verticals.”
