Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries® Improves Operations and Supports Rapid Franchisee Expansion with MICROS POS and Business Intelligence Solution

MICROS Systems, Inc.(NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries® has selected MICROS as its restaurant technology partner.

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries® is currently in a rapid growth stage, with contracts for 450+ locations worldwide where MICROS will provide the MICROS Restaurant Enterprise Series (RES) point-of-sale system and the cloud-based reporting and business intelligence platform.

Since 1981, the Maryland-based favorite, Boardwalk Fries®, sister company of Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries®, has served the local community with traditional American food offerings, launching its concept with fresh handcut fries and then adding burgers and other offerings to the menu to meet consumer demand. By 1987 Boardwalk Fries® had locations from coast to coast in the United States, primarily in community shopping malls. However, in 2007 Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries® was born in an effort to meet the consumers’ demand. By taking its new concept into free standing units and strip centers, it could expand its menu options with a focus on fresh products. The brand is now expanding globaly and has partnered with MICROS to support its restaurant technology needs. With its strong worldwide sales, training, serivce, and support network and state-of-the-art solutions, MICROS is able to address the demands of this expanding restaurant chain.
