TIG Global’s E-Mail Marketing Campaign Receives National Honors

TIG Global, a leading interactive marketing company for hospitality, announced receipt of the award for Best E-mail Message in the 2007 Internet Advertising Competition held by the Web Marketing Association

The annual, international competition recognizes outstanding achievement and results for online marketing.

The winning e-mail message (www.TIGGlobal.com/Rittenhouse/emailblast.htm), designed for The Rittenhouse of Philadelphia, showcased the hotel’s “Summer Suite Upgrade” campaign. The purpose of this promotion was to drive revenue by encouraging opt-in email subscribers to book a standard room at the hotel and receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite from Aug. 1 to Sept. 10, 2006. By designing a persuasive campaign that clearly communicated The Rittenhouse’s luxury brand image, TIG Global was able to market a valuable travel package to guests and increase occupancy levels at the property.  

"We designed a persuasive e-mail marketing message that incorporated the tone and color palette of The Rittenhouse website (www.RittenhouseHotel.com) in order to create a seamless brand image,” said Paul Peddrick, VP of creative services for TIG Global. "TIG Global’s copywriters coupled the design with compelling, targeted copy and strong calls to action that directed consumers to a related landing page within The Rittenhouse website."

The award-winning e-mail campaign also drove qualified, incremental website traffic, with five percent of 2,117 opt-in recipients clicking through to the campaign landing page. Moreover, the campaign garnered a 37 percent open rate, which is significantly greater than the 25-30 percent industry average.
