Kaba, the provider of ILCO and Saflok™ electronic locks, announced Sun Suites, operated by Park Management Group, will install ILCO 790 contactless radio frequency identification (RFID) electronic locks in all of its 20 properties.

The Sun Suites chain will upgrade from its existing locks at twenty hotels and installation is expected to be completed in June 2012.  Click here for more information on the company’s wide range of hotel door locks and access control solutions.

Confidence in Kaba’s Products and People

“The new ILCO 790 RFID locks will lift Sun Suites’ hotel operations and guest experience to the next level of reliability and convenience for the foreseeable future,” said Dan Burdakin, president of Park Management Group.  “We decided to replace the old locks with ILCO 790 locks.  I have worked with Kaba’s team for a number of years and their service and support are excellent.  We have confidence in their products and people.”  Burdakin noted that ILCO 790 locks utilize the latest RFID access control technology to provide Sun Suites guests with easy to use, contactless room access experience.  Guests simply pass their ILCO RFID keycard in front of the door’s reader to enter their room.

Sun Suites Delivers Recognizable Value with ILCO RFID Locks

“Sun Suites is a leading budget extended-stay chain whose goal is to deliver guests with recognizable value.  The company’s upgrade to cost-effective, reliable ILCO RFID door locks will make a major difference in guest satisfaction,” said Kerry Hirschy, senior vice president of Kaba Lodging.  Hirschy noted that ILCO electronic locking systems are ideal for both large and small properties and offer an easy upgrade process to replace mechanical and older mag-stripe electronic locks.

The ILCO RFID technology not only enables Sun Suites to provide a reliable, secure guest experience but also significantly reduces operational overhead since RFID keycards cannot be de-magnetized by cell phones or other personal items. This will free Sun Suites properties from the cost and inconvenience of repeatedly replacing guests' mag-stripe keys.

Kaba’s ILCO 790 RFID locking system advantages include:

  • Increased durability: RFID locks use a completely sealed contactless reader
  • Reduced maintenance: Batteries last up to 3 years
  • Enhanced reliability: Low battery indicator alerts staff while lock is operational
  • Attractive designs: Locks offer a variety of finishes to match each property’s style
