LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ: LNET),  which provides  interactive media services to hotel rooms across the country, has pledged to donate public service  exposure to Give Kids The World Village (GKTW), a Central Florida non-profit “storybook” resort for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Beginning June 1, LodgeNet will run 30-second public service announcements in more than 1.2 million hotel rooms throughout the United States amounting to more than 200 million guest impressions per month.  As hotel guests turn on their televisions, the public service announcements will appear on-screen as a viewing option.

“We are just trying to do our part to help a great cause,” said Scott C. Petersen, president and CEO of LodgeNet.  “We have selected 5,500 of our properties representing 1.2 million hotel rooms in all 50 states.  These properties will carry the public service announcements on our system that will elevate the profile of this outstanding organization and the important work they do.”

Give Kids The World Village is a 70-acre, nonprofit “storybook” resort located near Central Florida’s most recognized theme parks and attractions. Children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free fantasy vacations, complete with accommodations in whimsical villas, transportation, donated attraction tickets, meals and much more. Since 1986, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 115,000 families from all 50 states and more than 70 countries.

“At Give Kids The World Village, these precious children learn that dreams really do come true, as they and their families are immersed in joy, hope and non-stop fun for a few unforgettably happy days.  LodgeNet’s generous in-kind donation will allow us to share our unique mission with others who may want to get involved,” said GKTW President Pamela Landwirth, “helping us to reach new potential wish families, volunteers and donors.”
