Sceptre Hospitality Resources announced the addition of more than 85 new service agreements to its integrated hotel management platform since the joint venture.

Windsurfer CRS, one of the industry’s leading central reservation systems for non-branded hotels, which was acquired as part of Sceptre’s joint venture with Whiteboard Labs in February 2012 is driving the demand for Sceptre’s portfolio of services.

Windsurfer CRS bridges the gap between what hoteliers need to drive booking revenue and what customers have come to expect from technology. Windsurfer CRS helps hotels manage and connect to all distribution channels that drive business and gives hotels greater web interface capabilities, including mobile apps and branding features currently unavailable on legacy systems. Windsurfer’s guest-centric, advanced booking engine is responsive to customer preferences and is easy for even the novice on-line shopper. In addition, the software can be customized for hotel portfolios of any size.

“We are very encouraged to have great growth results within the first few months of our joint venture with Whiteboard,” said David Chestler, senior vice president of global sales for Sceptre. “Our sales force understands how to help independent hotels maximize their revenue potential and hotels are eager to have the technology and support that surpasses that of their branded competitors. The early adopters are spreading the word and we expect to close out our first year with close to 400 new service agreements.”

Nayan Patel, CEO of the Georgetown Inn Hotel in historic Georgetown section of Washington DC, uses Sceptre technology for Web, GDS, voice and mobile distribution. “The staff at the hotel has been impressed with the responsiveness and high level of service provided by the team at Sceptre. It truly is a situation where their great technology supports their service philosophy. Making the move was incredibly easy.”

“Windsurfer CRS is the intersection where marketing and hotel operations meet,” added Chestler. “Our clients immediately see an increase in conversion because Windsurfer provides guests with superior content in an engaging way.”
