HFTP Representatives to Discuss Top Tech Trends at the FHRAI Annual Convention in Goa, India

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) is scheduled to speak on Top Tech Trends at the upcoming 47th Annual Convention for the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), September 6 – 8 in Goa, India.

HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE and HFTP Global Vice President R.P. Rama, CHA, CHAE, CHTP will cover mobile applications, cloud computing, social media and data security, and end with a Q&A dialogue.
"India has an established community of hospitality professionals that can be a great resource for HFTP, and vice versa," said Wolfe. "I am really looking forward to speaking face to face with Indian hospitality professionals to see how HFTP can best support them in the areas of hospitality finance and technology."
The representatives will draw from their broad involvement with the global hospitality technology community, including the production of HFTP’s annual Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC), the world’s largest hospitality technology conference. Individually, Wolfe is an inductee to the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame and a frequent speaker on this topic at industry events. Rama is the CIO/CTO for JHM Hotels, which has 40 plus properties with over 6,520 rooms, including in India.
Other convention education topics include: sustainable development practices, investment opportunities in India, new trends in hotel and restaurant designs, employee retention, and more.
In addition to the speaking engagement, Rama and Wolfe are attending a chapter meeting for the recently established HFTP India chapter on September 12 in Mumbai. Their trip will also include a visit to AURO University in Surat, Gujarat. They will explore the potential for an HFTP student chapter, and for student involvement with the development of the Global Hospitality Accounting System Users Guide, a new resource that HFTP has currently in production.
The FHRAI is the central organization for four regional hospitality associations in India. It provides an interface between the hospitality industry, political leadership, academics, international associations and other stakeholders. It has more than 3,691 members comprising of approximately 2,358 hotels, 1,178 restaurants and 155 associate members.
