LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ: LNET),  a leading provider of interactive media and connectivity services to hospitality and healthcare businesses and the consumers they serve, announced they have been certified by Marriott International, Inc. as a Marriott Global Property Network Standards (GPNS) approved provider for property Internet.

The Marriott GPNS program creates an industry-leading property Internet offering across Marriott brands. As a certified hospitality Internet provider, LodgeNet is positioned to continue serving both full service and select service Marriott properties whether corporately managed or franchised.

To achieve certification, LodgeNet demonstrated its ability to install and support industry leading Internet equipment according to Marriott’s robust standards while providing exceptional guest and hotel support. LodgeNet achieved this through a successful installation and support of broadband services at the newly renovated 424-room Marriott Naperville (IL).

“LodgeNet was a great partner throughout the installation and their support continues to ensure hotel guests have a great experience,” said Jason Pfaff, IT Project Manager for Foresite Wireless, the IT lead for the Naperville property. “The project was completed on time and on budget and the LodgeNet solution has enhanced the stay for guests since we re-opened in April.”

LodgeNet supports hotels and their guests through dedicated contact center support personnel trained to address customers’ specific Internet needs. In addition to 24/7 call center support, LodgeNet’s Network Operating Center (NOC) proactively monitors the network installation verifying the network’s health. With the support of LodgeNet’s nationwide employee based field service network, LodgeNet is positioned to handle the hotel’s connectivity needs.

“We are driven to provide a quality Internet experience for every guest staying with our hotel customers,” said David Jacobs, vice president of Broadband Customer Support for LodgeNet. “To be certified by Marriott is an important milestone for us and validates our installation and support efforts.”
