Introduced at the 2007 Hospitality and Design Expo, Philips' range of commercial widescreen LCD flat-panel TVs offers ease-of-use and top performance for the grandest guest room or the smallest suite.

Featuring a full line of LCD flat-panel solutions in a variety of sizes (26-, 32- and 42-inch models), the televisions offer an exciting High-Definition (HD) viewing experience.

Designed specifically for hoteliers, Philips' Smart Card™ and Smart Plug™ FlatTV sets feature PrIdiom™ technology for flexible HD solutions and are compliant with numerous Pay-Per-View (PPV) providers.

Philips, the world leader in flat-panel displays, knows hotel guests desire a viewing experience that equals or surpasses their experience at home, so Philips has integrated innovative features for the ultimate entertainment experience.   Philips' FlatTVs offer razor-sharp images and vivid colors for a dynamic and immersive viewing experience. Pixel Plus HD™ technology is designed to enhance HD images to appear smooth and lifelike.   The advanced enhancement technology improves all video sources to near or better than HD quality.

To further enhance the viewing experience, Philips' FlatTV sets feature HDMI connections that support secure digital video with up to eight channels of digital audio. In addition to sensational viewing, the FlatTVs feature incredible surround, providing a full surround experience that engulfs guests in crisp, clear sounds.

"Philips is committed to continuing its leadership in flat-panel displays, providing hoteliers and their guests with solutions that offer a best-in-class experience," said John Neilson , Vice President and General Manager of Philips Commercial Solutions .  "Philips' FlatTV sets combine features specific to the hospitality market. With award-winning picture-enhancing technology, hoteliers and guests have the simplest set-up and best viewing experience possible."

Philips' FlatTV sets are time and cost effective, enabling staff to concentrate on guests rather than complicated installations.   The clone programming capability provides the ability to copy all commercial settings from one set into additional sets.   Once installed, the total program control locks the clone programming settings into the system so they cannot be altered by the guest.   This feature ensures uniformity between sets, significantly reduces installation time and guarantees a visually entertaining experience.

Embodying Philips' brand promise of "sense and simplicity," the TVs are designed to simplify installation and usage. The FlatTV displays provide convenience beyond easy installation through Smart Plug technology — the addressable interface allowing for two-way communication with external control devices. Utilizing the Smart Plug feature, hotels can employ the installed video system to send guests information - such as public messages via the TVs - and they can receive information when guests order special services that require additional fees.
