HITEC “Top of Technology” Event, Sponsored by Rosen Hotels & Resorts, to Raise Funds for HFTP Scholarship and Endowment Programs

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) announced the second annual invitation-only “Top of Technology” fundraising event to benefit HFTP Scholarship and Endowment programs all over the world.

This year’s event will be held on Monday, June 25 at 6 p.m. at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Fla., and will be sponsored exclusively by Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “Top of Technology," which will be held during the 2007 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®), will provide an opportunity for the leaders of the hospitality technology industry to help support the industry’s leaders of tomorrow.

“The ‘Top of Technology’ will be much different than last year’s event”, said Steven Stout, HFTP director of executive services. “Our planning committee wanted to make this event into a fun and entertaining ‘variety show’ cocktails reception, instead of a dinner educational function. The evening’s entertainment will be solely provided by the HITEC Players -- prominent hospitality technology community members. We also moved it earlier in the evening so our HITEC exhibitors could attend early and still entertain clients later in the evening.”

“The ‘Top of Technology’ event allows benefactors of HFTP scholarship and endowment programs to enjoy an entertaining evening at HITEC, while contributing to the future of the industry,” said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP CEO and executive vice president. “We appreciate the Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ involvement with this event. Their continued support of HFTP and our related schools from across the globe demonstrates their true dedication to hospitality students.”

Rosen Hotels & Resorts owns and operates seven Orlando hotels. The company also actively supports the University of Central Florida Rosen College of Hospitality Management, one of the beneficiaries of the “Top of Technology” fundraiser.

“We are honored to be a part of the ‘Top of Technology’ fundraiser that will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort,” said Frank Santos, CHAE, CFO for Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “For the past 34 years, Rosen Hotels & Resorts has prided itself on quality service and believes in passing those values on to the future hospitality industry leaders by sponsoring events like this fundraiser.”
