When Mews Tavern owners David Barnes and Dan Rubino arrived in Chicago for the NRA Show, they had one very important mission; to either upgrade or replace their antiquated point of sale system.

After evaluating all leading POS system providers exhibiting at the show the result was an enthusiastic “mission accomplished” when they selected SquirrelOne as the best solution to meet their needs and replace their old system.

The nine workstation installation will take place in late June and includes SquirrelOne Point of Sale, Squirrel Time & Attendance, Waitlist , Gift Card & Loyalty as well as Optimum Control Pro for inventory control and Mercury Payments for payment processing.

Vice President & Co-Owner Dan Rubino says, “We ended up spending four hours in the Squirrel booth.  The crew staffing the booth at NRA and the Squirrel Reseller for our area, Steve Meisels from MetroTouch, were all very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.”  Dan goes on to say, “There were many reasons for selecting SquirrelOne but with over 60 staff to train, this system is the easiest that we’ve seen to learn and use.  We also love the fact that changes can be made in real-time from any terminal in the restaurant.”

Mews Tavern is located in Rhode Island  just miles from some of New England’s finest beaches.  They feature 69 micro brews on tap, as well as an extensive single malt list and great pub food.
