Bulk TV Deploys DRE PLUS Solution at Hotel RL Baltimore

Bulk TV & Internet (Bulk TV) has announced its agreement with RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) to provide the DIRECTV Residential Experience (DRE) at the premier Hotel RL Baltimore Inner Harbor, the company’s first location of the new full-service, lifestyle brand.

Consistent with the technology-focused design of the hotel, guests will enjoy an upscale, in-room entertainment experience complete with over 100 HD channels, an interactive program guide and the customizable guest welcome screen.

“We selected Bulk TV as our provider because of the positive response we have had from both our guests and our operators at Red Lion Hotels and Red Lion Inn & Suites,” said Bill Linehan, chief marketing officer for RLHC. “The viewer experience emulates the experience our guests expect from home.”

Hotel RL Baltimore is located downtown in the structure previously known as The Keyser Building, a 10-story historic property renovated to include 2,400 square feet of meeting space, a business center, a gym facility and 130 guest rooms. The conversion brand property will be the first on the East Coast for RLHC, based in Washington.

Bulk TV and RLHC began their partnership in early 2014 when the two companies signed a master services agreement following an extensive recruitment and vetting process. Bulk TV has since installed DIRECTV HD solutions in 20 Red Lion properties. Bulk TV will deliver the DIRECTV Residential Experience, DIRECTV’s premier hotel offering, to the Hotel RL Baltimore.

In addition to an expansive channel lineup, the DIRECTV Residential Experience features a faster, easier-to-use interactive program guide that is operated by an anti-microbial, simplified remote. The co-branded guide is accessible through the new guest welcome screen interface, which enables interactive components such as in-room messaging, folio review/express checkout, hotel amenities and event information. The system utilizes compact, hidden receivers in each room so that guests can enjoy the same first-rate DIRECTV experience they receive at home.
