Castle Resorts & Hotels has appointed Cara Goodrich as vice president of revenue optimization, James Karabelas as director of eCommerce and Denver Collingwood as information technology manager.

Cara Goodrich has been appointed vice president of revenue optimization. In her new role, Mrs. Goodrich will be responsible for the development, execution, measurement and evaluation of the revenue management discipline for Castle Resorts & Hotels and its portfolio of 22 properties across the Hawaiian Islands and New Zealand to support companywide revenue goals and objectives. Her primary focus will be on driving RevPar and market share by partnering with operations, business intelligence, sales, marketing and IT teams; as well as analyzing individual property performance and developing pricing and yield strategies for all revenue departments to achieve maximum revenue growth to optimize profitability and optimum market mix by property.

"Her background in sales and revenue development and optimization as well as her experience with our company and culture makes her a perfect fit for our Castle 'Ohana."

Goodrich has over 25 years of experience in Hawaii's hospitality industry, specializing in sales and revenue management. Prior to joining Castle, Goodrich was with Aston Hotels & Resorts where she served as vice president of sales and revenue development; her focus was in leading the sales teams and working with revenue management in all aspects of rate setting, revenue budgeting, and day-to-day yield management.  Prior to Aston, Goodrich was an instrumental member of Aqua Hotels & Resorts, where as vice president of sale and revenue management she served a vital role in building the company's infrastructure and growth strategies. She also served as the director of sales Waikiki for ResortQuest as well as the assistant vice president of sales for Castle Resorts & Hotels.

James Karabelas has joined Castle as director of eCommerce.  In his role, Mr. Karabelas will be responsible for managing online sales and marketing initiatives for company branded websites, online and search marketing partners, and electronic marketing distribution channels.  He will oversee the strategic development and management of eCommerce initiatives for Castle Resorts & Hotels.

"His extensive background in digital marketing, advertising and sales for national brands will provide a fresh, high-level perspective to our online initiatives."

Karabelas has over 10 years of experience in the sales and marketing industry, specializing in digital strategy and program management. Prior to joining Castle, Mr. Karabelas was with Saatchi & Saatchi in New York where he served as a senior digital strategist; his focus was delivering strategic direction, insights, and thought leadership across all digital channels for agency clients. His role required him to develop strategic and tactical plans to optimally understand, segment, target and engage consumers; meeting business objectives and driving positive ROI.  Prior to Saatchi, Karabelas led business strategy and account management for leading digital agency Emerge Partners, overseeing the online marketing and program management on the Related Companies account, the largest private real estate company in the United States.

Denver Collingwood has been appointed information technology manager. In his new role, Collingwood will be responsible for the daily management and maintenance of property computer systems, networks and related peripheral equipment for the collection of Castle properties. Mr. Collingwood most recently served as network administrator for AECOM where he was responsible for all of the companies IT functions in the Pacific Region. He brings over 12 years of computer, network and systems administration and configuration to the Castle team.  Mr. Collingwood will play an integral role in the development and implementation of new IT procedures and initiatives at Castle Resorts & Hotels in the coming months.
