InvoTech Systems, Inc., announced that Four Winds Casinos, a premier gaming destination in the Midwest, has selected InvoTech’s Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Multi-Property Uniform Tracking System.

The InvoTech system increases profitability for clients. InvoTech enables Four Winds Casinos to centrally consolidate uniform inventory, tracking and purchases for all properties to reduce labor and purchase costs.

Four Winds Casinos properties use InvoTech’s Multi-Property RFID Uniform System and White Conveyors' U-Pick-It delivery system to automatically deliver uniforms to employees’ hands. Four Winds properties include Four Winds New Buffalo, Four Winds Hartford and Four Winds Dowagiac, which is scheduled to open in 2013. InvoTech centrally tracks uniform use, controls inventories, monitors laundry cycles, and consolidates purchasing for more than 10,000 uniforms. The New Buffalo and Hartford properties currently have the InvoTech system installed. Four Winds also plans to implement the system at its Dowagiac casino. InvoTech’s expertise in complete UHF RFID system integration delivers 100 percent control of linen inventory, 100 percent protection of non-theft-related losses, and 98 percent protection of linen losses.

“InvoTech is very beneficial to our operation. We now have an accurate combined uniform inventory count for all properties on one database and can purchase in larger numbers to benefit from higher volume buys," said Jennifer Lasiewicz, Four Winds Casinos’ vice president of hotel operations. "InvoTech enables us to make inter-property uniform transfers to reduce purchases and maintain par stocks. When we open Four Winds Dowagiac with InvoTech, we want to have an unmanned uniform room with the U-Pick-It system to automatically dispense uniforms with RFID tracking for total inventory control. This will reduce labor and operating costs.”

Four Winds launders its own uniforms and utilizes an RFID drop-chute reader to record when staff returns soiled items. “InvoTech’s RFID drop-chute reader absolutely helps us track uniforms that come back to us from staff,” Lasiewicz said. “It reads each uniform’s RFID chip as the garment is dropped. We do not manually count every piece the staff returns to our laundry. With a large number of employees, that would take a long time. InvoTech monitors uniforms coming and going at all properties and we maintain a central bulk inventory at Four Winds New Buffalo to simplify our operation. InvoTech installed all Four Winds Casinos’ systems and provided training on site. Their people understand how we run our business; they are knowledgeable and very helpful.”

Jeff Welles, vice president of InvoTech Systems, said, “Four Winds Casinos is doing an exceptional job of automating its multiproperty uniform operation. They will use the InvoTech and White Conveyors’ U-Pick-It systems to open their next property to create an unmanned uniform room. This is a giant step that will reduce operating and labor costs and increase profitability.”

InvoTech users include MGM Resorts International, Hyatt Hotels, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Loews Hotels, Marriott and other leading companies. InvoTech’s international clients include the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel, MGM Grand Macau, Wynn Macau, Burswood Entertainment Complex Australia, Sheraton Seoul Korea and Resorts World Singapore.
