Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) has named Toronto as the host city for the 2017 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC).

HITEC offers a unique combination of top-notch hospitality technology education, led by industry peers and experts and an unparalleled trade show showcasing the latest products and services. HITEC 2017 will be held June 26 – 29, 2017.

“As a global association, HFTP is thrilled to bring HITEC to our neighbors to the north in Canada,” said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. “Toronto is a beautiful city and I am excited to see how HITEC will flourish in its first international locale.”

Toronto, with a population of five and a half million, is Canada’s largest city with more than 60 percent of the population of the United States within a 90 minute flight. A true melting pot, residents of Toronto speak English, French, Chinese, Italian, Tamil, Portuguese and Spanish. HITEC will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre which has been host to the G20 Summit, international trade events and world leader meeting. In addition to a favorable exchange rate, terrific hotel availability from most of the brands, great nightlife and theatre district, HITEC 2017 exhibitors will be able to have their shipments cleared by customs inside the convention center.

“Our Toronto hospitality community looks forward to welcoming the best in hospitality technology from around the world for HITEC 2017,” said Johanne Bélanger, president and CEO of Tourism Toronto. “For HITEC’s first international meeting, a truly global city like Toronto will provide an ideal backdrop for delegates and exhibitors to meet and innovate together.”
