Historic Francis Marion Hotel Chooses VENZA® to Provide Proactive Cyber-Security Training

The Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, S.C. has partnered with VENZA to provide critical data security and PCI compliance training for its staff.

The 235-room hotel, a mainstay of historic Charleston, features three ballrooms, a casual restaurant featuring lowcountry cuisine and a full-service day spa. 
Francis Marion has selected VENZA’s Denali package, which offers online training modules, awareness audits and other resources, including a five-stage phishing campaign designed to measure staff understanding and adherence to best security practices. 
“Because of the volume of personal information collected and stored by hotels, they are a prime target for data breaches and cybercrime,” said Jeff Venza, VENZA’s president and CEO. “Data breaches and hacks not only put hotel guests at risk, they also damage the reputation of even the most long-standing companies. By being proactive about protecting guest data, Francis Marion is serving its customers and protecting its own nearly hundred-year history.”
VENZA is an approved educational provider for (HFTP) members, partnering with hotels and hospitality organizations to deliver proactive cybercrime-resilient training and strategies to help protect guest data. VENZA has been an exhibitor at HITEC, an annual event hosted by HFTP, since 2008. 
“We chose to work with VENZA because of their experience within the hospitality industry. Having the support of HFTP, we knew that VENZA would be able to provide us with industry-specific training that covers all levels of our business,” said Mike Abrams, director of finance for Francis Marion Hotel.
