NEC Recognized as Market Share Leader

NEC Corporation of America (NEC), a leading provider and integrator of advanced IT, communications, networking, managed services and biometric solutions, announced that NEC Corporation outpaced its competitors to show the #1 rank among enterprise communications vendors, according to the T3i Group report “InfoTrack for Enterprise Communications Global Market Intelligence Briefing for First Quarter 2013.” NEC’s global line shipments grew by 12 percent in year-over-year shipments to capture 15 percent of worldwide market share.

“These results demonstrate the continued commitment to expanding our enterprise communications business globally and offering our customers investment protection. Receiving top market share recognition from industry analysts reinforces and highlights NEC’s successful strategy of continuous innovation,” said Larry Levenberg, vice president of sales and channel marketing, NEC Corporation of America. “Coupled with our strong channel growth and offering of software-based solutions, NEC will be able to further leverage our success to ensure our customers’ clear migration paths for future growth.”

NEC offers a broad range of enterprise communications solutions—on premise, cloud-based or hybrid solutions—to help customers of any size improve the way they communicate.

According to the T3i Group report, NEC has increased its worldwide market share, outpacing Avaya, Cisco, Panasonic, Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent, and Mitel in the first quarter. The report concludes that continued focus on healthcare and education maintain the strong match between NEC’s solutions and the needs of those verticals. In addition, NEC has seen global growth in both the enterprise and SMB segments in each of its global markets.

“The enterprise communications market is projected at very modest growth, and NEC was able to far outpace the market average,” said Richard Dorfman, chief executive officer of T3i Group. “NEC’s success is even more pronounced when looking at the global competitive landscape.”
