Olympia Hotels Select VENZA’s Denali Package Plus Breach Coverage to Secure Guest and Company Data

  • 02.02.18
VENZA has partnered with The Olympia Companies to provide the hospitality real estate organization PCI compliance training, awareness audits and reinforcement tools, as well as data breach protection coverage to mitigate data security vulnerabilities and keep the company and its guests’ data safe.

“Olympia’s philosophy is built on five values: Fun, Concern for Others, Trust, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement. We are dedicated to the development of not only our properties but also our employees, which is why VENZA is a perfect fit,” said Sara Masterson, vice president of Hotel Management.
Olympia, whose properties have been recognized for high-quality service and guest experience in Conde Nast and other high-profile publications, currently operates 22 properties nationwide, incorporating a wide range of property types from small budget hotels to 4-Diamond boutique independent properties.
Olympia’s employees will participate in the full VENZA training experience, which includes InfoSec training within PEAK, VENZA’s Learning Management System platform, and Spot Check Awareness Audits. Continuous reinforcement and prescriptive learning is included, as well as tracking and reporting capabilities.
Olympia is also taking advantage of VENZA’s data breach coverage, offered through the North American Data Security Risk Purchase Group (NADS RPG). The most comprehensive and cost-effective breach protection program in the payments industry, this program provides up to $100,000 in protection against normal losses associated with a data breach that involves cardholder data.
“The human firewall is the first line of defense against a security breach,” said Jeff Venza, VENZA president and CEO. “Hotels are particularly vulnerable to cyber-attack, given the sheer volume of personal data that they must store, and employees play a critical role in protecting both hotel and guest information.
Olympia is ensuring that all staff have the knowledge and information they need to keep guests’ information safe and maintain their confidence and trust. This speaks not only to their commitment to their customers but also their commitment to their employees.”
