Agilysys, Inc. has announced that Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. in Miami has selected the InfoGenesis® POS and DataMagine™ systems to optimize workflow efficiency and enhance guest service on its two newest ships — Harmony of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas.

With these additions, 37 Royal Caribbean vessels now use Agilysys solutions.

A longtime Agilysys customer, Royal Caribbean wanted to expand its use of the company's point-of-sale and document management systems as it launches its newest ships. InfoGenesis POS provides fast and secure processing of passenger payment transactions across the ships’ venues, while DataMagine automatically archives receipts and electronically captures and stores guest activity waivers and other documentation for safety and legal purposes. Simplifying these operations allows the ships' crews to focus on delivering a world-class cruise experience.

"InfoGenesis and DataMagine continue to be well-suited to our needs," said Mark Sinclair, director of information technology at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. "InfoGenesis is among the most versatile point-of-sale systems on the market, combining an accessible user interface with a variety of reporting tools. And DataMagine is the ideal solution for managing our electronic waivers program as well as for archiving other documents. With these systems in place, we are confident that we’re using technology that not only improves operations but also enhances guest service."

InfoGenesis POS is a comprehensive point-of-sale system that combines an easy-to-use terminal and tablet touchscreen application with industry-leading offline capabilities. It features real-time reporting, support for a variety of menus and offers, and multi-language capabilities that drive service flexibility and increase operational efficiency. InfoGenesis POS easily manages any combination of food, beverage and retail services, and it can be deployed on-site or as a software-as-a-service solution.

DataMagine is a document management system that transforms paper records into electronic images that are then archived for on-demand access. The flexible solution allows users to view many documents simultaneously and index them in a variety of ways, while its imaging module integrates seamlessly with business applications. Features include electronic document routing, instant data delivery, individual permission levels and remote data access. Optional modules include electronic registration, signature capture and ID scanning.

"We have had a long and successful relationship with Royal Caribbean and are delighted the company has once again selected InfoGenesis and DataMagine to optimize service and efficiency," said Jim Walker, senior vice president of global revenue at Agilysys. "In the highly competitive cruise market, companies must implement technology that enables them to streamline operations while creating lasting connections with guests. The InfoGenesis and DataMagine solutions, with their flexible configuration and superior integration capabilities, will allow Royal Caribbean's two newest ships to operate at peak efficiency and deliver a five-star guest experience."
