Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with ShopKeep, a top-rated tablet-to-cloud payments and point-of-sale platform chosen by over 25,000 independent retailers and restaurants.

As a first step in the partnership, ShopKeep has certified Epson’s TM-m10 POS and TM-U220 receipt printers to offer to its retail and hospitality merchants. The joint solutions are available from ShopKeep.
ShopKeep’s platform is designed to benefit independent retailers, full-service restaurants and quick-service restaurants — with specific features for each type of business. The company offers an intuitive and easy to use tablet based register experience and also includes payment processing, inventory management, sales reporting, human resources, accounting and customer relationship management tools. The bundled solution with Epson’s TM-m10, gives customers the benefits of a compact printer with modular casing allowing them to switch from a top-load to front-load configuration and the advantage of integration with mobile POS environments, intuitive functionality and advanced connectivity. The Epson TM-U220 tablet POS-friendly kitchen receipt printer is ideal for ShopKeep customer sites with full service kitchens as they are compact, reliable and optimized for high-speed throughput.
“We are very pleased to be partnering with Epson,” said Mike Sommers, SVP of product management at ShopKeep. “Our solution is designed to provide intuitive and easy to use sales functionality that SMBs need to effectively run and manage their store operations. Adding Epson’s POS receipt printers, which offer great functionality and seamless integration helps us deliver a comprehensive solution to our retail and restaurant merchants offering them access to all the big business features needed to run a successful establishment.”
“In order to increase sales and improve customer service, SMB retailers and hospitality providers must implement mobile POS solutions that deliver the latest value-added services,” said Tom Kettell, director of commercial channel for North America at Epson America, Inc. “Together with ShopKeep, we provide merchants with the assurance to get the most out of their mobile POS systems and the ability to deliver a seamless experience at every sales point. Our partnership will allow us to continue to address the growing importance of mobile POS as the overall mobile expansion in retail and hospitality continues.”
