VENZA Offers Clients Help with GDPR Preparation and Compliance

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the next generation of European Union (EU) data protection law and will take effect on May 25, 2018.

This rule applies not only to businesses within the EU, but to all organizations that process or collect data from EU citizens. The penalties are steep, totaling up to 4 percent of global revenue or €20 million, whichever is greater.

To better prepare its clients, VENZA offers GDPR products and services as part of its InfoSec Program. At HITEC in booth No. 1137, VENZA Partner and Co-founder Daniel Johnson will lead a Tech Talk, “330 Days to GDPR Enforcement: What You Need to Know,” about GDPR on Tuesday, June 27, from 11:00-11:15 a.m.

“Although you may not be familiar with phrases such as Privacy by Design, Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPA), and Data Protection Officer (DPO) now, they (and many others) will soon become part of your day-to-day vocabulary,” said Johnson. “Count on VENZA to bring you up-to-speed and compliant.”

To further enhance its role as an international leader in data security, VENZA is expanding its organization by opening an office in The Hague, Holland. Johnson, who also serves as managing director of VENZA’s new European office, said, “The Hague has long distinguished itself a global seat for peace and justice. Through the establishment of The Hague Security Delta (HSD), Europe’s No. 1 security cluster, Holland is clearly the place to be as VENZA continues to contribute to the global conversation on cybersecurity and privacy.”
