With the new
dailypoint™ Privacy Dashboard, dailypoint™ offers hoteliers an important tool, when the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will take effect on May 25, 2018. At ITB 2018, the new Privacy Dashboard, available for all dailypoint™ software solutions, will be launched.
Since 2017, dailypoint™ has been working on a full GDPR compliance strategy. The new Privacy Dashboard, developed for the dailypoint™ software family, permits hoteliers to centrally manage all functions which need to be in place when the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) takes effect. This includes especially towards the guest:
-
Vast requirements for information
-
Deletion of customer data
-
Required data transfer possibilities
-
A central history of informed consents (across all data sources)
These requirements are with a few mouse clicks easily to comply within the Privacy Dashboard.
In their most recent publication, Dr. Robert Selk, dailypoint™ co-partner (lawyer specialized in data privacy and one of the most renowned experts in this field) and our CEO, Dr. Michael Toedt, explained the new obligations owners, managers and employees have to meet when the GDPR will take effect on May 25, 2018, after a two-year transition period.
“So far, there were valid economic and marketing as well as analytical reasons, for the consolidation of all data sources in one central system. Now, with the new GDPR it more or less becomes a requirement," said Dr. Michael Toedt on the new dailypoint™ Privacy Dashboard. Without central data management, hotels will fail to meet the new legal requirements for guest data.
