Amadeus distributes 63,000 hotels to 75,000 online and offline travel agency locations in 217 countries around the world. Hotel bookings through Amadeus doubled from 2001 to 2005, precisely the most difficult period for the travel industry, and growth during 2005 was close to double digits. This performance is testament to Amadeus’ dedication to securing additional revenues, occupancy and therefore RevPAR to its partner hotels.

  • Cluster revenue management: This multihotel management system allows the user to consolidate the data, forecast demand and optimize the expected contribution of the different hoteliers.
  • Forecasting: Through the collection of data giving the groups daily activity, this tool applies a series of models to forecast by hotel, type of room, yield class, day of the week, period of the year or by local event. 
  • Deal quotation: This tool recommends the minimum price that can be quoted to optimize profits.  This bid-price is calculated by considering the group or hotel forecasts based on length of stay, type of demand and the demand needs and characteristics.

A New Era in Hotel Distribution
Amadeus is also pioneering the development of a new generation hotel distribution platform, a major strategic project to ignite a new era in hotel distribution. Scheduled to roll out in 2007, the platform will combine in one, integrated solution property reservations, central reservations, channel management, revenue management and global distribution through offline and online channels.
