Amadeus Puts the Spotlight on Hotel Revenue Management at HITEC 2007
Helping hoteliers increase revenue and streamline operations using industry-leading revenue management technology will be the primary focus of Amadeus at HITEC 2007, June 26-28 in Orlando, Fla.

“As a technology leader and innovator to the travel industry, today Amadeus offers a complete suite of products and services for the distribution and management of hotel rooms, covering all processes from booking to checkout,” said Annette Hogan, managing director of the hospitality business group for Amadeus North America. “But revenue management continues to rank high on the list of what keeps our hotel customers awake at night in North America, so that is a major focus for us.”

With that in mind, Hogan said Amadeus developed the Amadeus Hotel Revenue Management System (RMS) to enable hoteliers to optimize their revenues while supporting their key business goals of customer retention, sales and marketing efficiencies and sophisticated revenue management.

Amadeus Hotel RMS is a seamlessly integrated system that hoteliers can leverage to gain real-time visibility into the overall financial performance of their property with the ultimate goal of offering the right price for the right customer at the right time. With the help of Amadeus Hotel RMS, Hogan said hoteliers can boost their revenues by as much as 8 percent. Other products in Amadeus’ portfolio include a multichannel distribution solution to serve the key performance and operational needs of the hotel industry.

As a partner to the industry, Hogan said Amadeus sees both an obligation and an opportunity to provide innovative distribution and technology services to hoteliers that help contribute to a healthy bottom line.

Hogan said that although Amadeus only formally launched its North American hotel business group in 2006, it has already made significant strides in delivering success to the hospitality industry.

Amadeus and PAR Springer-Miller Systems (PSMS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PTC) and a leading provider of guest-centric hospitality management systems, entered into a technology partnership in November 2006.  Today Amadeus interfaces Amadeus Hotel RMS with PSMS’ SMS|Host® Hospitality Management System to provide a comprehensive system that enables hoteliers to manage and optimize revenues across all areas of the hotel property while providing guests with the best on-property experience possible.
As a result of the PSMS partnership, Amadeus was chosen shortly thereafter by Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts, a subsidiary of Delaware North Companies, to implement Amadeus Hotel RMS.  Amadeus has fully integrated Amadeus Hotel RMS with Delaware North’s SMS|Host® Hospitality Management System from PSMS. This resulted in a comprehensive system that will enable Delaware North’s property and revenue managers to gain better visibility and control of all revenue generating opportunities at each of it properties through the utilization of the solution’s unique revenue optimization, forecasting and reporting capabilities.
