Centrada Solutions, LLC

2020 Summer
Irving, TX

Centrada Solutions provides a full spectrum of managed IT services exclusively to the hospitality Industry. The company has more than 1,200 hospitality clients throughout the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Clients include hotels, management companies, owners and brands. Centrada’s U.S.-based staff delivers a 24/7 help desk, consulting services, design services, project management and implementation services.

As the COVID-19 pandemic began to emerge, Centrada’s initial focus was the safety of its team. In less than one week, Centrada successfully implemented business continuity plans which allowed its entire team to work remotely while still delivering the critical services the company's clients depend on to keep hotels running.

When government mandated travel bans and stay-at-home orders began to be enforced, Centrada was designated an essential service provider. Centrada quickly recognized the new restrictions on travel would severely impact the hospitality industry and immediately began to contact clients. Centrada helped develop and implement best practices for adapting IT systems in the face of reduced operations and hotel closures.

When appropriate, Centrada worked with IT vendors and with hotel brands to reschedule or cancel projects and even expedite new projects based on lower business levels. Centrada also proactively reduced its recurring fees for all clients to reflect the reduction in demand. When business begins to return, Centrada will also assist clients with re-onboarding staff and restoring full operations.

Steve Woodward, Centrada’s president and co-founder, said the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the hospitality Industry (and related suppliers) much more significantly than any economic downturn during his 30 year career. Woodward believes when occupancies eventually rebound, the new normal will include a renewed focus on contactless systems. Woodward sees systems like mobile key, remote check-in/ checkout and contactless payments as a minimum standard for all hotels in the future. “It has become a cliché, but the only word I have to describe the impact of this pandemic is unprecedented.

Through it all, the industry has worked together to do whatever they can to help each other get through this crisis. It confi rms to me why the hospitality industry is the greatest industry in the world! I am proud to be a part of it.” – Steve Woodward, president and co-founder, Centrada.
