DerbySoft is a global technology company serving the hospitality industry since 2002. The company provides an infrastructure platform that enables travel suppliers, distributors and search engines to connect with each other while maintaining their own business models and data logic. DerbySoft’s technology is predicated on two vital components; the capability to connect practically any travel supplier to any distributor, and very sophisticated caching of availability, rates and inventory (ARI) that manages to be extremely accurate while maintaining efficiency.

This caching technology provides a valid consumer shopping experience as a result of its accuracy and also buffers central reservation systems (CRSs) from the enormous volume of transactional hits they would otherwise have to absorb. In those instances where DerbySoft pulls from the CRS, its automated and predictive caching software continuously adapts the schedule on which it retrieves data in order to maintain the highest degree of accuracy possible, given the capacity of the CRS.

DerbySoft's supply side partners include all of the top 10 global hotel groups, smaller regional chains, the major third-party CRSs, representation companies and close to a thousand Chinese independent properties. On the demand side, almost all of the world's leading OTAs and metasearch engines as well as several of the largest tour operators are connected to DerbySoft.

New Connectivity Model
During the past several months DerbySoft has been rolling out a simpler, more streamlined connectivity method that it calls Doorway to support lower-volume distribution channels. A counterpart method geared to hotel suppliers is in development.

Faster, Less Costly and Better Metasearch Marketing Solutions
In 2011 DerbySoft built on its record of innovation and adaptive design to break into the unmanaged world of metasearch marketing. Using its existing connectivity and caching architecture, DerbySoft overlaid an advanced software platform that the industry now knows as MetaSearch Manager.

MetaSearch Manager provides any advertiser with the ability to control its marketing campaigns across multiple metasearch engines and automatically optimize the return on advertising spends. This includes automated bidding solutions specifically designed for metasearch channels that use auction model advertising such as Google HPA, TripAdvisor and Qunar (China).

MetaSearch Manager also supports assisted booking for those metasearch engines that have enabled it, including Tripadvisor and Qunar.

This capability has become extremely attractive to hotel companies that recognize the need to drive more business direct to their own website and to effectively control their return on advertising spend (ROAS).

In addition to CRS connectivity and metasearch marketing services, DerbySoft is undertaking several new initiatives to be revealed in the coming year.
