COVID-19 has forced all of us to change the way we handle our personal and professional lives. From the business perspective, fortunately, Edge has always had a Plan B in place, just in case. As stay-at-home orders were announced in mid-March, our entire support team went virtual almost immediately. Our goal was twofold: Protect and support our Edgers and their families and provide our partners with a seamless support experience. Other departments quickly followed (sales and marketing, network/ system engineers, developers, solutions architects, infrastructure teams and administration). The teams took to working virtually quite easily and not a beat was skipped.

On April 30, after almost a month in an unprecedented country-wide lockdown, Edge and its customers, partners and friends came together to discuss the future in the Post COVID19 Technology Challenges Strategy Session: A Perspective from Technology Leaders in the Hotel Industry (the first of a four part Strategy Session series). Thanks to our four panelists, Brennan Gildersleeve, Alex Ajdelsztajn, Mike Dickersbach and Kristin Gassick, we had an incredible discussion with more than 60 IT leaders in attendance. We spoke of top challenges when reopening hotels from an IT perspective, which led to conversations surrounding the frictionless technology experiences and the subsequent deployment and adoption of these solutions. As of today, Edge remains committed to its customers, partners and friends in supporting all of their technology needs. We continue to have frequent discussions with IT Leaders in our industry so we can be prepared to support the implementation of new services and solutions.
