Users Conference Spotlights Tools for Profitability, Efficiency and Hosts a Spectacular Flamenco Banquet
Maestro users from around the world converged in Tampa, Fla., April 19th for the three-day 2005 Maestro Users Conference titled “Maestro & You in Concert.” NORTHWIND’s executive team hosted the event to provide Maestro users with tools to make their properties more efficient and profitable. Attendees were offered high-level insights on how current industry trends are affecting their operations, and provided with workshops on rate optimization strategies, CRM and other disciplines. It was not all work, though; users were also treated to the Maestro golf tourney and a five-course gourmet dinner, wine paring and fiery flamenco exhibition at Columbia Restaurant in Tampa’s historic Ybor City.

President of U.S. Operations for NORTHWIND, Warren Dehan, said, “Our 2005 users group in Tampa was the ideal forum to provide clients with tools to take full advantage of the changes that are affecting the hotel and travel industry. We listened to our independent operators, multi-property clients, chain executives and hotel managers over the past year; they told us what was important to their operation and we structured our users group format to deliver what was most valuable to them.”

Spotlight on Profitability Tools – Rate Management

Maestro clients joined one another for presentations and classes focused on leveraging technology to address the business goals of each company. Classes on Maestro rate management showed users how to maximize rates across all channels, including their voice center, CRO, third-party Internet sites and GDSs by using a single Maestro screen to maintain pricing consistency and real-time inventory control. Hotel group operators also learned how to cross sell using Maestro Enterprise multi-property single-image database productivity tools.

Maestro Analytics Wows Users

NORTHWIND presented its newest profitability tool, Maestro Analytics, to attendees. Maestro Analytics is an integrated business intelligence module that allows users to drill down into their operating data and customize report views that reveal hidden sources of revenue. Maestro Analytics shows operators their most valuable clients, markets and guest origins and easily designs mailing lists that target past guests with pinpoint marketing campaigns.

Customer Relationship Management

Another popular session at the Maestro Users Conference was CRM. Operators and managers received instruction on how to use Maestro’s guest-centric CRM database to attract and keep customers. The integrated Maestro sales and catering system CRM database keeps close contact with corporate and group room clients to drive more sales.

NORTHWIND’s new Four-diamond service program that provides clients with a single point of contact for upgrades, training, support and special services was described in-depth to attendees. This new service program was developed from client suggestions of what would help them maximize their systems. Four-diamond service includes assistance with Internet and mail marketing strategies, rate maximization tips and training, as well as online training Webinars, updated documentation and project management counsel all from NORTHWIND’s new client-focused Web site.

Benchmark Installs 12th Maestro System

Benchmark Hospitality named NORTHWIND’s Maestro suite of hospitality automation applications its recommended property management solution. Benchmark recently installed the 12th Maestro system in its hotel group.
