MICROS continues to provide new and innovative solutions that focus on streamlining business through its leading mobile technology that empowers the hospitality and retail industries. The recently released MICROS iCare Market Segmentation Generator provides intuitive means to enhance the success and profitability of loyalty programs. MICROS inMotion, the food and beverage mobile solution previously only available in iOS is now available for Android™, and MICROS announced a collaboration with Microsoft, Dell and Intel to offer an innovative MICROS mobile experience that provides a new set of visually stimulating app experiences and advanced capabilities that will significantly raise the bar on what a modern point-of-sale system will be.

Released in November, the MICROS iCare Market Segmentation Generator greatly enhances the creation of valuable loyalty programs. iCare is a customer relationship module that provides an easy way to set up and manage gift cards and point-based loyalty programs with complete reporting through mymicros.net. One of its major strengths is its ability to track transaction-level detail for each account. Using guest-specific information, the iCare Market Segmentation Generator creates targeted offerings which can be sorted by demographics, customer attributes, purchase activity, and other areas. The trending module allows users to view trends of segments created in the Segmentation Generator, providing the ability to monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns with MICROS’ integrated ExactTarget marketing solution. The process is simple: create an offer, apply it to a custom market segment, and send it to ExactTarget for distribution. 

MICROS inMotion is a native mobile app companion to mymicros.net which provides real-time, actionable information, allowing restaurant operators to evaluate performance, measure success against forecast and make better, faster decisions. The app is now available for the Android and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. It is available free of charge for mymicros.net users globally. Other new features include user-defined language and revenue center details and updates.

In January, MICROS publicly announced a collaboration with Microsoft, Dell and Intel to reimagine the mobile experience for employees and customers alike. Taking advantage of recent trends in technology, MICROS has introduced an ultra-modern mobile solution that blends the best of a rich user experience, lower cost tablet devices with extended battery life, and all of the enterprise-grade capabilities provided by MICROS software. MICROS Simphony Enterprise will run on a Dell tablet that incorporates the Intel latest Atom processor, powered by Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry. MICROS and Dell have enhanced this tablet offering for the food and beverage industry, which mobilizes staff members so they can take orders on the go and respond quickly to customer requests. The tablet can also be docked for use with MICROS cash drawers, scanners or scales. Managers can access business data such as labor costs, sales performance and trends, inventory or other location-specific information. MICROS is targeting summer 2014 for product/solution availability.
