MICROS RES has transformed workstation usage by improving guest service with mobility provided by the MICROS mTablet E-Series and Motorola MC-40 handheld. Hosts are able to circulate among guests waiting in a cocktail area for table assignment, and with the ability to print to shared printers which can be discretely mounted out of sight, cluttered wait stations can become a thing of the past. Managers can perform necessary functions, view reports and make on-the-spot decisions in order to provide better service and operate more efficiently without ever leaving the floor or the kitchen.

MICROS Simphony Enterprise Solution’s new features continue to improve the guest experience and allow restaurateurs to manage their operation more efficiently. The MICROS Engagement Feature has arrived to replace the traditional sign in and manager screens, enabling a dynamic, content-rich experience on the MICROS mTablet E-Series and pulling information from both Simphony and external data sources like the local weather, news, sports, live video feeds and real-time reporting. Simphony POS client can now be installed on several consumer-grade Android devices, providing for a lower cost mobile hardware option. Operational cash flow can be tracked using the enterprise cash management module, and with auditing and exception tracking built into the system, variances can be monitored and reported on to prevent loss situations from occurring.
