Despite Challenges, the Hospitality Industry Continues to Serve — The past several months have brought on unprecedented challenges for the hospitality industry. Yet, it continues to demonstrate warmth and compassion combined with an incredible willingness to provide help wherever needed. We’ve seen hotels transform into makeshift care facilities to protect first responders and safely isolate patients in guestrooms. Cruise lines are offering their ships to provide bed space to accommodate overfl ow from hospitals. Casinos are donating thousands of pounds of food to local food pantries and delivering urgently needed supplies such as gloves.

Oracle has rallied support for our customers in myriad ways, from using technology to speed potential COVID-19 treatments, and providing the infrastructure backbone for critical research, to enabling customers to support their remote workforces, and helping restaurants quickly pivot to delivery to maintain revenue and feed their communities.

On the hospitality side, Oracle teams all over the world have been working closely with our hotel partners to convert their properties to support patients and frontline workers. We also launched an online resource center to provide timely information to educate and help hospitality businesses navigate the present and anticipate next steps. The website includes how-to and best practices articles, videos, online checklists and more and will continue to be updated with new thinking and content as the industry moves into recovery mode. While these are unpredictable times, they offer an opportunity for hoteliers and their staff to embrace training to brush up and learn new skills in preparation for recovery. This is why we're making Oracle Hospitality eLearning for OPERA Cloud, OPERA 5, reporting and analytics and Simphony complimentary to our customers.

Oracle has also ramped up free online learning and certifi cations for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Autonomous Database.
