React Mobile is a trusted provider of panic button solutions to hotels. We’re also a glass-half-full type of technology partner. We understand this crisis is only temporary and believe that behind each closed door is a window open to new opportunities. Like-minded hotel companies are using this time to improve their assets and tackle technology projects they didn’t have time to implement before. Occupancy lulls are an ideal time to fulfill state mandates to implement employee safety devices (ESD) or honor commitments to programs like the AHLA 5-Star Promise, whereby members have pledged to put panic buttons in the hands of all hotel service employees by the end of 2020.

Understanding that these are incredibly trying times for our industry, React Mobile is working closely with its customers to reduce the fi nancial strain of technology implementation. We waived fees for 60 days for existing clients and offered new customers two months of free service with 90-day deferred payment terms so they could meet commitments and improve safety standards in preparation for reopening.

Using our best-in-class hospitality safety platform, hoteliers can deploy resources to the exact location of an emergency within seconds of an alert, getting help where staffers need it, fast. Emergencies come in many forms, and operators are fi nding new uses for our panic button technology. We're learning that many housekeepers and roomservice attendants are relying on React Mobile to alert management or security personnel when they see or hear guests showing signs of illness. Help for guests and co-workers in distress is just a click away when staff are trained to look for health-related warnings signs.

Adding panic buttons today means more than just checking off a requirement on the property to-do list. It also means increasing staff loyalty and reducing turnover. In these uncertain times, hoteliers can't assume their valued employees will return post pandemic. Showing empathy by investing in workers’ personal safety is proven to have a positive impact on job retention — 93% of employees say they're more likely to stay with an empathetic employer. Not only will existing employees return, but new candidates will be drawn to a property for its integrity and social conscience.

When hoteliers put employee safety fi rst, especially when occupancy and revenues are low, loyalty emerges. Doors will soon reopen, but hotels can’t operate without their people. Only when workers feel safe and valued can they be motivated to deliver an exceptional experience for guests. There’s no time like the present to begin protecting your team and preparing for the future. React Mobile is here to help
