First adolescent job was on my father's farm in Louisiana. I was a field hand (lots of free labor). My first adult job was in the Air Force as a Lieutenant in the IT field in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

What was your most interesting day at work?
I like being busy and seeing the fruits of my and my staff’s labor. I drive myself and my team to reach new heights, but also like to let off steam and have fun. My creed is, “The task of the leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been.' (by Henry Kissinger) So, that being said, my favorite day is always when we complete a big project within budget and on time and being able to celebrate that success with my staff.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
It depends on how large. I would definitely donate 10 percent to my church or charities. Would I continue to work? I really do not know.

I have two young children and my wife and I really like spending as much time as we can together. On my personal time, I like to have get togethers with friends, read and exercise (it is hard to find time these days).

What is the next technology to impact the hospitality industry?
I think increased emphasis will be placed on better serving the customer through data warehouses and CRMs. Also, everyone is really eager to take advantage of the opportunities that wireless and Wi-Fi offers.
