The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Foundation is proud to announce the members of its 2024 Board of Directors and Executive Committee, led by new chair, Lori Kiel, who begins a two year term. Composed of senior travel and hospitality executives, HSMAI Foundation leaders have a passion for helping solve the sales, marketing, and revenue talent challenges being faced by many hotel and hospitality companies.


“I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead a group of such extraordinary hospitality professionals,” said Lori Kiel on entering her first year as chair. “I’m thrilled to put my passion for commercial strategy into furthering the mission of the HSMAI Foundation’s efforts that will attract new talent, develop emerging talent and engage existing talent across the commercial disciplines.”

The HSMAI Foundation will continue to elevate the overall caliber and performance of sales, marketing, and revenue management professionals in the global hospitality industry in 2024 by driving initiatives that will attract new talent, while continuing to grow and engage existing talent. And, as HSMAI nears its 100th anniversary milestone, the HSMAI Foundation Century Campaign will continue to be a focus this year, with the goal of ensuring that the future generation of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue professionals are finding their place in the industry.


The Foundation’s efforts to attract talent include encouraging and providing resources for students and other targeted audiences seeking or exploring careers in hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue optimization. To develop talent, the Foundation creates and provides resources to both re-skill and up-skill industry professionals. Foundation initiatives engage leaders in a way that mentors and encourages others to excel and retains them in hospitality.
