Hilton Hotels & Resorts was named the top hotel brand in Australia for the ninth consecutive year by the annual BDRC Hotel Guest Survey.

Hilton has also retained its position as the No. 1 business and leisure hospitality brand.

BDRC conducted interviews with more than 1,000 people, including 503 business travelers and 520 leisure travelers that ultimately ranked Hilton Hotels & Resorts as the top hospitality brand in Australia.

The metrics used included both prompted and unprompted awareness, brand loyalty (business), leading choice and used in the last 12 months. In each of these metrics Hilton Hotels & Resorts scored favorably over its competitors with a staggering 91 percent of responders aware of the Hilton brand when prompted.

Ashley Spencer, vice president operations - Australasia, Hilton Worldwide, said, "This achievement is a shared success and the result of a combination of factors. It is the result of our operational excellence, our exceptional service, of us upholding the integrity of our brand and ultimately the result of us honoring the great legacy of Hilton."

Hilton Worldwide manages 12 unique hotels within Australia including the recently opened Hilton Darwin and Australia's first DoubleTree by Hilton properties that were introduced to the Northern Territory on May 1, 2013. These properties expanded the Hilton Worldwide portfolio in this region and include DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs, DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin and DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin. The brand has more than 325 DoubleTree by Hilton locations in 26 countries around the world.
