Further expanding its global presence, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) has announced the addition of three officially chartered chapters representing three different countries – Mexico, United States and United Arab Emirates.

The new chapters include HFTP’s Los Cabos chapter, Dubai chapter and Buffalo-Niagara chapter. This will be the first time HFTP has expanded into Mexico and the U.A.E.

"We are pleased to welcome these three new chapters to the HFTP family," said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. “HFTP’s mission is to assist its members across the globe in finding solutions to industry problems, and HFTP’s chapters provide opportunities for education and networking. We are excited to strengthen our local networks and be able to better accommodate HFTP members no matter where they are in the world.”

HFTP currently has more than 80 local chapters providing opportunities for networking and education throughout the world. HFTP members can attend chapter meetings to connect with their local network of HFTP members and share solutions with professionals in the community. Chapters hold regular educational and social meetings, as well as participate in projects to benefit area charities.

The newly established HFTP Cabo San Lucas chapter held its first meeting last June during HFTP’s Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITECSM) in New Orleans, La. – one of the highest-attended shows in the conference’s history.

HFTP’s Los Cabos chapter is dedicated to enriching the hospitality industry in the Los Cabos, Mexico region. The new HFTP Los Cabos chapter currently is led by president David Tonche, CHTP, IT manager at The Resort at Pedregal, and Vice President Eduardo Garcia, CHTP, IT manager at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort. Garcia was also HFTP’s 2016 CHTP of the Year award winner and was recognized during HITEC last month.
