How to Ensure that Content Remains a Priority

Digital Signage Connection (DSC), the news and information portal supported by Digital Signage Expo as its year-round resource for digital signage professionals and end users invested in the digital signage space, announced the latest installment of its monthly webinar series will take place Thursday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. EST.

Joshua Goodwin, digital media specialist at Eileen Fisher, will present “How to Ensure that Content Remains a Priority with the Increased Focus on Hardware,” a topic that was also addressed by the Digital Signage Expo Advisory Board’s End User Council last September.

“As technology improvements move at a breakneck pace, concepts and new communication strategies often take a back seat to the newest way to display your ideas,” said Goodwin. “For the most part, the language used to communicate the message has not changed. Strategies for effective messaging remain the same as they always have.”

“As price points decline, more of these high-end displays and hardware become accessible to a larger pool of end users and network operators who want the next great thing,” said Paul Fleuranges, vice president of corporate communications for the New York Transit Authority. “The problem is that many make this technological quantum leap without developing a coherent content strategy.”
