Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle Bringing Mobile Power to Guests 0utside of Guestrooms with Kube Systems

There is nothing more frustrating than being confined to a hotel room or tethered to a wall outlet simply to power a mobile device, especially when family, friends or business associates are out enjoying the property without you. At the Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle, mobile device charging is always within reach thanks to the Kube 5 portable charging system from Kube Systems. If a guest needs to power up, hotel staff will bring a complementary charging Kube to them capable of powering up to six mobile devices simultaneously, including all smartphones, tablets, fitness bands, cameras and headphones. Each portable Kube has an 18,000 mAh battery that charges at a speed comparable to wall outlets, and provides up to nine hours of phone charge time.

“The Kube 5 is functional, engaging, and in use all day long,” said Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle General Manager Sam Johnson. “Our staff is trained to offer a Kube to any guest in need, whether they are enjoying dinner in our award-winning restaurant, sipping a glass of wine on our comfortable outdoor patio, or relaxing in the lobby. We even have customers requesting that Kubes be made available during meetings – including placing multiple Kubes on the boardroom table, in the back of one of our nine meeting rooms, or in the pre-function space. Due to demand, we ordered and just received additional units.

“What we like most about these Kubes is that each is capable of supplying multiple charges before needing to be recharged itself,” Johnson said. “This multi-user functionality is really important in public areas and meeting applications. Located in the technology corridor of Seattle with the Amazon headquarters directly across the street, we need to be on the cutting edge. The Kube 5 is a docking station housing five portable chargers. Each of the five portable charging Kubes features three built-in connectors, two USB ports and comes with Qi wireless charging that enables guests to simply rest or “drop and charge” their mobile devices on top of the Qi charging pad, located on the top of each Kube.

The Kube 5 is available as a set of five portable units and a recharging tray. Kubes can be strategically placed in high-traffic public areas or they can be made available individually to guests. Checking out a Kube is as easy as slipping the guest’s room key, credit card or ID into the adjoining slot. Each Kube can be programmed with a variable timeout function to limit user time and avoid power squatting. To drive incremental revenues, hoteliers can rent Kubes to individual guests or make them available as part of a meetings package. Event planners can offer them to speakers, VIPs or attendees upon request. Kubes can also be customized with property or brand logos.
