The Oracle Hospitality team continues to advance the development of products and solutions that further streamline hotel and resort operations. 

This past March, Oracle Hospitality released the Oracle MICROS Workstation 6, a next-generation digital engagement device that features a sleek, modern design with new functionality that greatly enhances user engagement and experience. It is designed as an aggregation point to deliver digital content to both staff and guests, from showing a training video to a new staff member to helping a guest view spa offerings or give directions to a restaurant. The workstation is ergonomically designed for minimum visual obstruction between guest and staff at the counter and its head swivels around for maximum engagement possibilities.

In addition, Oracle Hospitality has expanded the functionality of Oracle MICROS inMotion Mobile, the robust mobile reporting application originally engineered for the food and beverage industry. The application now seamlessly integrates both food and beverage reporting as well as OPERA hotel management reporting in real time and displays it conveniently from a singular device. Hoteliers can now manage their entire property from anywhere at any time, whether that means viewing information pertaining to arrivals, departures or housekeeping stats, or checking in on food and beverage operations like labor, discounts, tenders, check details, etc. This application provides data for today's operations, and allows managers to make timely decisions based on the information provided. The combination of both food and beverage and hotel operational data reporting in real time from one application, allows a thorough understanding of an integrated business for a complete view of hotel performance.

Oracle Hospitality continues to provide tools to simplify business processes including actions surrounding events and catering. Oracle Hospitality Web Proposal Cloud Service is a helpful tool for creating, distributing and managing professionally designed and customized catering proposals and is hosted in the cloud. A step-by-step proposal-building interface helps the user to automatically assemble a new proposal, pulling client information, room and meeting facility requirements, catering specs and more for a specific booking chosen in the OPERA database. Oracle Hospitality Web Proposal Cloud Service allows for a timely response to requests as well as a standardized proposal for continuity throughout a brand. Proposal tracking and follow-up are also simplified, streamlining the sales process.
