OPERA Enterprise Solution
With over 10,000 licenses installed, OPERA is a fully integrated multiproperty enterprise application, providing property management, sales and catering, central reservations, customer information and revenue management functions.  OPERA V4.0 includes features and enhancements in nearly every area of the suite.
 
ORS, the OPERA central reservations system, now displays guest membership awards information on the sales screen, enabling on-the-spot review and redemption. In addition, best available rates by day for the arrival date and room type can be returned by an availability search and integrated into yield management. ORS Campaign Management lets you selectively target profiles and contacts in the ORS/OCIS database.
 
OCIS, OPERA’s central customer information system, now offers profile match and merge for contact profiles as well as individual profiles. Profile distribution features enable batch profile updates from one screen; revenue generated through passer-by transactions at hotel outlets can be manually entered into stay and membership records; and a new background processor attaches “orphaned” stay records to profiles.

The new OPERA PMS item tracking module keeps tabs on luggage and parcels; its valet features help manage vehicle services. Other PMS enhancements include global alerts that automatically appear on-screen or at strategically located printers depending on user-defined conditions; pre- and post-stay charging; AR finance charges; scheduled checkouts; package allowance sharing; and early departure penalties. OVOS, the OPERA Vacation Ownership System, works with OPERA PMS to provide specialized functionality for mixed-use condo/hotel properties.

New OPERA Sales & Catering features include support for multiple rate codes per business block, function-space utilization reporting, and shoulder date and sell limit handling options for group bookings. S&C Xpress and S&C Account Management are scaled down versions of OPERA S&C for sites that don’t require full S&C functionality. SFA, the sales force automation application that can be integrated with OPERA S&C, OPERA PMS and the OPERA central systems, debuts features for managing tour series leads and FIT contracts.

The OPERA suite is enhanced and supported by the OPERA Electronic Distribution Systems, which include channel management features for GDS, ADS and Web channels; OPERA Web services, which provide real-time access to OPERA inventory, profiles and memberships data to online clientele; OPERA interfaces, XML and Web-based software which provides integration between OPERA and phone, POS, and other hotel systems; and the OPERA Xchange Interface (OXI), which links third-party software and OPERA.
