IRIS, a global provider of mobile ordering and guest experience platforms for the hospitality sector, today announces a new partnership with fellow industry innovator, Travel Curious - a leading Experiences Commerce Platform that enables hotels to seamlessly offer on property experiences and tours and activities, enhancing guest stays while driving new revenue streams.

Under the new agreement, hotel operators that have the IRIS Digital Guest Directory will be able to offer curated local tour experiences through its integration with Travel Curious. All the experiences will be bookable and payable online delivering a wide breadth of services to guests and additional revenue streams to operators. Currently accessible to all Marriott-branded hotels, with availability for other properties coming shortly.

Experiences available include inspiring city guides and private tours of local attractions, which hoteliers will be able to earn commission on. This is in addition to extending the options to book additional on-property services and activities such as room upgrades, early check-in / late check-out, health and spa bookings including treatments and gym class sessions as well as F&B reservations, meeting rooms and more.

Hoteliers can further enhance the guest experience and drive additional spend by showcasing special offers, such as Mother's Day Afternoon Tea and seasonal tasting menus. Additionally, Travel Curious will integrate the IRIS Guest Directory into experience pages for those properties working with both companies.

Commenting on the partnership Gramham Rushin, VP Sales and Marketing at IRIS said, “Our core focus when building and developing the IRIS platform is to ensure we are enhancing the efficiency and experience on both sides of the app for guests and operators alike.

The acceleration in demand for, and engagement with, mobile ordering and local guest experiences continues apace.

Investing in and extending the capabilities of mobile ordering enables hoteliers not only to keep up with this demand but also, importantly, add additional revenue streams and increase profitability. We look forward to extending these opportunities to further operators worldwide in collaboration with the Travel Curious team.”

Alex Grant, Co-Founder and Head of Activate, Travel Curious added, “We are excited to partner with IRIS. We are both dedicated to helping hotels enhance guest experience and increase revenues through experiences, F&B and other ancillary services.

For a long time hotels were asking us if we could integrate with IRIS and as it happens, IRIS’ customers were asking them the same about us. So, our joint offering is an excellent step forward for those hotels looking to align their operations, marketing and experiences. Guests are increasingly looking for ways to enhance their stay, whether that be immersing themselves in the local area to experience the culture or adding additional extras such as early check-ins or spa treatments.

Digital Guest Directories have always been an important resource for operators and guests, and by integrating with IRIS we are able to take it to the next level with a rich and diverse range of tours and experiences that will enhance the guest experience and support operations and revenue.

By aligning both of our offerings, it will simplify the marketing initiatives for the hotels that work with us. Fundamentally, it will be much better for the hotels and also better for the guest experiences.”

IRIS and Travel Curious will facilitate the curation of experiences and services hotel operators wish to include as part of their Guest Directory. Guests can access the digital guest directory to book tours and experiences and tour booking links on pre-arrival guest communications in addition to QR codes displayed both in-room and throughout the hotel to drive awareness and guest engagement. Hoteliers will also have the option to configure links to manage online credit card payments.

IRIS provides digital F&B ordering, guest directory and concierge solutions for hotels, empowering them to increase revenue by 20%, free up staff time, and enrich the guest experience. Working with some of the leading hotel chains including Marriott, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Ennismore and IHG and fully integrated with POS, IRIS enables guests to browse, order and pay for items and services across multiple outlets in the most seamless, accessible way possible.
