VENZA, a leading provider of cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance solutions for the hospitality industry, announced a significant expansion of its industry-leading VENZA Learning™ Content Library with the release of new courses custom-built to meet the needs of hospitality professionals. These new courses navigate hoteliers through emerging data security threats and regulatory challenges using the context of real-world day-to-day hotel operations.

“Hospitality’s complex risk and compliance environment demands training that understands both the industry’s unique security profile and its operational realities,” said Casey Harrigan, Product Director at VENZA. “Too often, hoteliers are presented with one-size-fits-all programs that aren’t tailored with knowledge specific to their digital ecosystem. To address this, our courses speak the language of hospitality. We’ve built a comprehensive library of material to guide them through complex regulations such as PCI DSS and privacy laws, and empower them to anticipate and prevent data threats.”

New course releases include:

  • Advanced GDPR for Hoteliers: Navigates leadership, IT, and compliance teams move beyond the fundamentals to apply GDPR principles in daily hotel operations.
  • Device Tampering Awareness: This course addresses one of hospitality’s most pressing payment security risks—device tampering. It trains hotel staff to identify signs of compromise and apply PCI DSS-aligned prevention strategies to safeguard cardholder data.
  • Incident Response in Hospitality: Focused on readiness, this course guides hoteliers through the fundamentals of incident response. It outlines best practices for detection, containment, and recovery, delivering actionable guidance to minimize a breach’s financial, legal, and reputational impact.
  • PCI DSS Learning Path: This flexible curriculum blends foundational concepts with advanced instruction, offering a customizable path to understanding the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Offered as a suite of courses, it can be tailored to specific roles or used as is, providing baseline awareness and progressing to detailed guidance on key requirements.

Offered as “electives,” the new courses allow VENZA’s clients to complement their core security awareness training programs with supplementary instruction to create custom learning paths tailored to their needs. Electives offer additional training on unique topics such as device security, social engineering, privacy regulation, and more.

“No two properties share the same security profile,” said Harrigan. “Each hotel faces risks shaped by its distinct infrastructure and operations. VENZA’s learning paths deliver role-appropriate training across every level, and, when combined with electives, allow hoteliers to go a step further, customizing and supplementing core instruction to create truly tailored coverage aligned with their unique challenges and threats.”

All electives are currently available in English, German, and Spanish, with select courses also offered in up to seven other languages.
