Streamlined Team Communications

At the core of Relay's offerings is a robust team communication system that enables instant, push-to-talk interactions among hotel staff. Relay’s redundant connection to both cellular and Wi-Fi reduces dead spots and gives customers nationwide range. Its unlimited number of channels facilitates better coordination across various departments and locations such as housekeeping, the front desk and maintenance, so guest inquiries can be handled quicker.

Relay has recently upgraded its existing translation capabilities with the addition of Team Translate. With real-time speech-to-speech translation in 26 different languages, Team Translate allows properties to access a broader hiring pool and better navigate language barriers.

Prioritizing Safety with Emergency Alerts

Another critical component of Relay's technology suite is the emergency alert system built into its two-way communication device. This system allows hotel staff to instantly notify each other with an accurate location during emergencies, sending out a panic alert for a rapid, organized response. By prioritizing guest and staff safety, this feature not only provides peace of mind and meets brand safety compliance, but also reinforces the hotel's commitment to creating a secure environment.

Real-time Location Tracking

Relay's advanced location tracking technology offers the ability to pinpoint the position of teams and equipment in real time, both indoors and outdoors. This capability is instrumental in managing resources more effectively, ensuring timely responses to guest needs, and maintaining high levels of service. 

Relay’s new enhancement, Rounds, eliminates the need for manual entry with paper logs, QR codes or near field communication (NFC) scan, and instead allows managers to passively track scheduled rounds or patrols and automatically receive a notification when an employee has missed their rotation. This feature is best utilized on Relay’s easy-to-use dashboard or mobile app.

Cost Savings

By avoiding costly infrastructure and using more durable devices than traditional radios, Relay drives significant cost savings. Relay's small, lightweight devices are made of silicone and sealed tightly with no protruding parts or antennas. They are also ingress protected (IP) IP-X8 water resistant, which is submersible to 1.5 meter depth for up to 30 minutes. Less likely to break and easy to locate, users will see a significant reduction in replacement costs.
