Agilysys, Inc., a provider of hospitality software solutions and services, has announced general availability of InfoGenesis™ POS v4.4.6 and InfoGenesis™ Flex v4.4.6, the latest version of its point-of-sale software solutions.

The new version includes a number of enhancements designed to boost efficiency, increase revenue and improve guest service, including support of Apple Pay™, new mobility options and more.

InfoGenesis is a comprehensive point-of-sale system that combines an easy-to-use terminal and tablet touchscreen application with industry-leading offline capabilities and enterprise-quality configuration and reporting functionality. Designed for multi-unit, complex operations in hospitality environments, the system manages any combination of retail and food and beverage service. InfoGenesis features packages and prix fixe menus, real-time reporting, multi-language capability, and it interfaces with other Agilysys solutions as well as a wide variety of third-party providers. Its advanced security protections include tokenization and P2PE payment processing with rGuest™ Pay, the Agilysys payment gateway solution. InfoGenesis Flex, which offers full point-of-sale functionality on a convenient tablet device, provides signature capture on tablets and a feature-rich mobile experience for foodservice operations. InfoGenesis POS and InfoGenesis Flex are available as on-premises or software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.

InfoGenesis v4.4.6 features a number of enhancements, including:

  • Support of Apple Pay and NFC contactless 'tap and go' credit card payments
  • An innovative sleek stand for InfoGenesis Flex 11" tablets that easily converts to a portable terminal to address peak volumes and special events
  • Support for a range of new USB peripherals, such as cash drawers, scales, scanners and receipt printers

"Guest confidence is often created – or destroyed – at the point of sale, so it's critical to implement technology that increases efficiency and helps establish lasting connections with guests," said Maris Berzins, vice president of product engineering at Agilysys. "The latest version of our InfoGenesis system will enable hotels, restaurants and other hospitality venues to offer guests the convenience of contactless payment and provide a quality experience in a variety of settings. We continue to expand our POS offering to more fully address customer needs, often in the same venue, and we are excited to bring this state-of-the-art version to market."
