Bulk TV & Internet has announced its recent television upgrade of the company's first customer, America's Best Value Inn Princess Anne (ABVI).

Located in Maryland near St Mary's College, ABVI Princess Anne was the first property to install a Bulk TV satellite headend system during the company's first year of business.

Bulk TV & Internet provides free-to-guest television services to businesses nationwide.

Dave O'Connell and Tom Conley formed the company in 2004. The two childhood friends from New York both shared a passion for developing a competitively priced alternative to cable tailored to meet the unique needs of the hospitality and healthcare markets.  More than ten years later, Bulk TV has experienced exponential growth with more than 4,000 customers nationally, and is coming off its seventh consecutive year as being named DIRECTV Lodging & Institutions Provider of the Year.  The owners credit the loyalty of customers like ABVI Princess Anne as a driving factor of the company's success.

In appreciation of the long-standing partnership with ABVI Princess Anne, Bulk TV recently deployed a complimentary upgrade of the customer's TV system to the state-of-the-art DIRECTV Residential Experience (DRE), which offers guests over 100 HD channels and an interactive programming guide.  Along with a top-of-the-line HD system, Bulk TV has also given ABVI Princess Anne free TV programming service for the next 12 months.

"Making the switch to Bulk TV over ten years ago, was one of the best business decisions I made," said Ashok Patel, owner of ABVI Princess Anne. "What has kept me a customer for over a decade has been the second-to-none service and support that I've received, and I would recommend Bulk TV to anyone in the hospitality industry.  Additionally, the DIRECTV Residential Experience is an exceptional product that gives my hotel a competitive advantage. Guests love the robust HD lineup, the crystal clear HD picture and the interactive guide.  HD is an amenity that guests expect — this system offers HD and so much more."

In addition to a full residential channel lineup and an interactive guide, the DIRECTV Residential Experience features easy search functionality, a co-branded user interface and an anti-microbial, simplified remote. The system delivers programming to compact, hidden receivers in each room so that guests can enjoy the same premium DIRECTV experience they are accustomed to at home.

Bulk TV has installed the DIRECTV Residential Experience in hundreds of hotels and is a leader in DRE installations nationwide.  The company's turnkey solutions include complete engineering and fulfillment, project management, professional installation and 24/7 technical support. One of the primary differentiators between Bulk TV and other providers is the quality-assurance that customers receive throughout every step of the process, and this focus has attributed to the overall success of the company and kept customer retention rates high.

"From day one, customer satisfaction has been our main priority," said Tom Conley, co-founder and president of Bulk TV. "This focus has helped grow Bulk TV to have a customer base of more than 300,000 rooms in all 50 states.  We know how valuable it is to retain customers such as Mr. Patel, and we are grateful for his support. He was the first hotelier that had faith in us and believed that we could offer the underserviced hotel industry a better alternative to the cable company. We are proud of the product and service that Bulk TV offers, and it is customers like ABVI Princess Anne who have helped us become the leading provider of DIRECTV to hotels."

The company's growth continues, and in the coming year Bulk TV plans to increase its customer base by more than 100,000 rooms.  In an effort to diversify their product offering and simplify in-room technology services, Bulk TV also offers Ruckus wireless network solutions and Mitel phone systems.
