Great Wolf Resorts Names Edward Malinowski as Chief Information Officer

Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. announced that Edward Malinowski will join North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts on June 5 and serve as the company’s chief information officer (CIO).

Malinowski joins Great Wolf Resorts from Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Hong Kong, where he served as the company’s chief information officer overseeing the brand’s worldwide IT operations.

Malinowski will manage the team responsible for overseeing the entire IT infrastructure, providing vision, strategy and IT governance across Great Wolf Resorts’ 14 lodge locations and corporate offices. Additionally, Malinowski will lead the development of a digitally enabled platform that is both flexible and functional to meet the needs of all departments, and evolving digital capabilities at the resorts to increase guest experience and engagement.

With more than 20 years of IT experience, Malinowski has a proven record of success in innovation, scaling and growth, strategic planning and execution, modernization, and security. Most recently, he executed a complete overhaul of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ enterprise IT organization from the ground up. Prior to that, he served as the vice president of technology solutions for Hyatt Hotels where he was responsible for the architecture, daily operations, and security for more than 500 Hyatt hotels worldwide. Malinowski graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor of science in Chemistry.
