Hotel Internet Services Continues Rapid North American Growth with Expansion of U.S. Sales Team

Hotel Internet Services (HIS), a full-service provider of Internet services and technology solutions for the hotel industry, has announced another step in its 2016 growth initiative, increasing the size of its North American sales team, in order to provide enhanced services to its rapidly growing customer base.

Following the recent appointment of Bob Johnson as vice president of sales, HIS has now added two national account managers to the team, Tom Majewski and Michael Bevan. As veterans of the hotel technology industry with more than 50 years of combined experience, Majewski and Bevan bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to HIS. Their appointments augment the existing U.S. sales and customer support team.

The HIS sales team expansion is part of a comprehensive organizational growth initiative, fueled by burgeoning demand for its industry leading hospitality technology and guest entertainment solutions. In the past several years, a growing number of hoteliers throughout North America have turned to HIS for its secure wired and wireless Internet services, FUSION Gateway solution and BeyondTV, one of the first wireless streaming players designed specifically for the hospitality market.

"As the economy continued to rebound in 2015, we experienced a sharp rise in interest and demand for our products, including our proprietary BeyondTV solution, and subsequently received an infusion of growth capital that has allowed us to leverage that opportunity. By expanding our sales team, we are adding the proven expertise of talented individuals, such as Tom Majewski and Michael Bevan to ensure that our hotel customers receive the best possible solutions and service to enhance their operations." 

Based in Chicago, Tom Majewski will be responsible for leading HIS sales efforts in the Central U.S. region. With more than three decades of sales and management experience, he possesses a wealth of expertise in technology solutions for the hotel industry. Over the course of his successful 30-year career, Majewski has held influential positions with leading companies, such as VTV Technologies, SONIFI Solutions and SBC Communications. He holds a B.S. in business administration from Southern Illinois University.

Heading up sales of HIS solutions for the mountain and southwestern region of the U.S. from his Texas headquarters, Michael Bevan is also a valuable addition to the HIS sales team. He brings to his new role extensive experience with hospitality-based technology solutions providers, having contributed to the substantial growth in both revenues and market share for recognized providers, such as SONIFI Solutions, Quadriga Worldwide and GuestTek. Bevan earned a B.S. in speech communication from Baker University.

Both Majewski and Bevan will report to Bob Johnson, HIS' newly appointed vice president of sales. In addition to other comprehensive growth strategies being implemented in 2016, the expanded sales team is expected to further boost HIS' North American market growth and reputation as a leading provider of Internet solutions for the hospitality industry.
